About Yokewright
A free tool for crocheters whose bodies standard sizes do not fit: your own measurements and your own swatch go in, and a full sweater pattern with every count comes out, worked by arithmetic you can check.
What it is
One page that does one job: a flat-panel drop-shoulder pullover in single, half double or double crochet, with a boat neck or a square front neck and tapered or straight sleeves. It writes the pattern in US or UK terms, draws the schematic, estimates the yarn and prints a clean copy with a pattern code. The rules are on how the maths works.
What it is not
- Not a published design and not a size chart. It uses only the numbers you type.
- Not guesswork. Fixed rules, so the same numbers always give the same pattern.
- Not a fitting service. It does not choose your ease or judge your measurements, beyond a plain warning when a number looks unusual or the neck would not stay on.
- Not for every body. It suits adults and teens; small children usually need a buttoned shoulder opening, which it does not write.
- Not an account. Nothing is uploaded; your measurements stay in your browser.
What is planned
More constructions are planned. There are no dates.
